Plot (*rising action * climax * falling action)
*Rising action: the story start when people thinks that sarny is a dumb person because she doesn’t likes to speak but sarny know that she is not a dumb person so there was a guy named clel Waller. He was a guy that buys slaves.

*Climax: Clel Waller buy a guy named night john he was naked like the first day he was born also he had a lot of scare on his back, and they put him in the back yard of he plantation to work hard they told everybody if they know how to read or write they were going to put them in the white house so hit then with a whip. Night john has to eat in a trough he has to carry it every day to wash it before it was time for the evening feeding.

* Falling action: After night john finish doing his job sarny, mommy and night john went to sleep but night john could sleep he need some tobacco so he went to Alice and ask for some tobacco she said “what are you going to give me”. He didn't know what to said them he said if she know how to read or write she didn't know how to read so night john start to teach her the alphabet but one time Alice learned how to write a words call BAG she start writing all over the place them clel Waller came and saw that Alice know how to write and read she don't want to said who is teaching her how to write so they took mommy and put it on the white house they want to whip her but then came night john and he said it was him that was teaching her how to write. They cut night john 2 fingers but he still teaching Alice letters they went to a litter school to learn how to read and write.
